The Ministers, Children & Youth Pastors, and Elders of Witham United Reformed Church condemn all forms of racism and will not tolerate any form of racist behaviour or language. We stand with our Black friends in calling for a complete end to all forms of racial discrimination and injustice, and will not stop until this is achieved.

We believe BLACK LIVES MATTER!

Fast Day

We would like to have a fast day on Thursday the 13th May for the mission of the Church. I will be providing some written resources for people. The idea would be to refrain from eating for the day and just drinking water; concentrating on prayer and meditation. If people have medical conditions that would preclude them from doing this they will be encouraged to fast in their own way. We would like to ask for responses from people so that at the next Church meeting we can bring something more concrete. Thank you, Mark.

We have a WURC Christian Aid E-envelope which means that anyone with internet access can make a payment into it and at the end of the month we will have a total raised by the church. Click this link to go to the e-envelope: https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/envelope/wurc We will still be able to take donations by more traditional means of payment such as cash or bank transfer. Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
